| I opened my Sprint PCS phone bill today and found a $18 "Handset Upgrade Fee". What kind of bulls*t is that? They're mad because I didn't buy a new phone from them and commit to another two years. Lame. Coincidentally, though, the same envelope contained a Proof of Claim form for the Benney/Lundberg Settlement -- a class action lawsuit from Kansas. Of course Sprint admits no responsibility to doing anything wrong. That explains why they're so willing to pay out on this settlement. Yeah, right. Anyway if I'm reading this correctly, they'll pay me $19 per quarter for two years. Of course I'm probably reading it wrong and will only get about 25 cents (I've received "settlements" from class action lawsuits before). |
